Onshore Wind Energy

The department of onshore wind farms deals with the determination of potential suitability areas as well as the organization and coordination of various approval procedures for the construction of wind farms. In addition, there is support in the planning and preparation of the structural implementation as well as support and monitoring of the project.

Here, there is close cooperation with the departments approval planning, environmental management and regional planning / project development. On the basis of the official approval, the planning-ready planning of traffic facilities is carried out by cooperation with the construction planning department. In certain cases, the help of the Geotechnical Engineering & Mining Order department is used to assess the stability of the subsoil. In the construction phase, tasks of local construction supervision, geotechnical construction supervision, construction supervision as well as the safety and health coordinator are taken over.

Project development, approval process, documents for environmental impact assessment

  • White space mapping using the spatial planning and regional planning principles in the respective region with the help of geographic information systems (GIS)
  • Development of a potential wind farm layout based on technical and specialist planning principles
  • Preliminary examination of the approval ability of a project, taking into account all relevant approval aspects and planning principles as well as the existing area backdrop
  • Clarification of the possible procedural route as well as organization and implementation of scoping appointments for information about documents to be provided
  • Creation, organization and coordination of application documents and accompanying reports (nature and species protection, pollution control)

Planning, tendering and awarding of construction work ready for execution

  • Planning of traffic facilities, foundations, building ground improvements (if required) for submission to test statics and for construction planning
  • Quantity determination in road and earthworks, preparation of service specifications (LV) and service descriptions (LB)
  • Organization and implementation of public tendering procedures and non-public bidding processes
  • Evaluation of offers and preparation of an award recommendation
  • Conducting bidder talks and drawing up construction contracts in accordance with the procurement and contract regulations for construction services (VOB)

Monitoring and coordination of construction measures for the construction of wind farms

  • Local construction supervision with surveying and keeping the construction log
  • Construction supervision for date and cost control
  • Takeover of specialist construction management in the field of geotechnical engineering and environmental support
  • Owners Engineer as client representation over the entire implementation period with interface monitoring and coordination between the trades involved in the construction
