Repowering Klettwitz
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Within the scope of the project Repowering Windpark Klettwitz (1st Const. Phase) a total of 27 Vestas V 112 wind turbines were erected on the areas of a former opencast lignite mine. The complicated geotechnical conditions of the loose spoils pile soils
required the use of a vibro-tamping method to ensure the bearing capacity of the foundation soil, as well as the development of a combined pile and raft foundation for the foundation, in which GICON® was significantly involved. These challenges were
mastered by interdisciplinary cooperation within the GICON® Group, both in the planning phase and in the tendering of the construction services, as well as in the actual construction phase.
As general planner, GICON® - Grossmann Ingenieur Consult GmbH (GICON® - Consult) was responsible for the approval procedure, project management, the object and foundation design as well as the construction management, construction supervision, geotechnical construction management and nature conservation support. The project is thus a prime example of the comprehensive and interdisciplinary engineering services provided by the entire GICON® Group.
