Biomethane plant Pessin
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Pessin biomethane plant was developed, designed and built to produce biogas from biomass, which is upgraded to biomethane by means of gas treatment (based on pressure swing adsorption). The feedstocks, which are stored in 4 silo chambers on site, are corn and grass silage, GPS, sugar beets, cattle manure and solid manure. A total of 64,000 t/a are processed. The gas system and gas upgrading of the plant are designed for max. 1,400 Nm³/h raw biogas at approx. 50% methane content.
The biogas upgrading plant consists of several machine containers, cooling water units and various outdoor containers. The supply of the operating fluids cooling water, cold water and instrument air is ensured within the plant boundaries. Only the operating fluids nitrogen and electrical power have to be supplied to the plant.
